TTIH Community Norms

Welcome!

We are thrilled that you have joined our workplace community! The Travel Industry Hub (TTIH) is where the inspired and passionate from Travel, Tourism and related industries come to do their work. TTIH strives to bring together a diverse group of professional members in a great working environment.

You are joining a community, where we respect and look out for each other. As a member of TTIH, we (and your fellow members) encourage and expect you to take pride and ownership in your community and the space. Here’s how:

  1. One of the biggest benefits of TTIH membership is access to your fellow members, and we encourage members to make connections, collaborate, share ideas, provide advice, and make cool things happen.

TTIH is, first and foremost, a place of work. While we want your community to be open, fun and collaborative, we also want it to be professional. Members are responsible for properly balancing the two. Members may not spend their day directly soliciting other members whilst they work. This can be annoying, and may result in cancellation of membership.

  1. Every person using the hub and its partner spaces MUST be a paid member. Non-members are welcome for up to 3 hours if they are meeting TTIH members for business-related meetings (and are not using the conference room). All guests must be registered with a TTIH employee or via the check-in iPad at reception – no excuses.

        3. If meeting guests at the space, this must take place in one of our meeting
rooms, in breakout spaces or in your private office if you have one. Guests may not sit at a coworking table unless a Day Pass has been purchased. Members are accountable for the conduct of their guests, at all times.

  1. Please be mindful of security. Please do not share security cards or electronic phone app access with anyone else, for any reason. It is our job to provide a safe and secure community for you to work in, and we expect members to be mindful of security at all times. Sharing security cards or access methods with non-members may result in immediate termination of your membership.
If you have a guest during non-staffed hours your guest will need to call you directly to gain access to the building. Also make sure that outside these hours that you are mindful of security when entering and leaving the building.

  1. Hot Desk allocations and Dedicated Desk memberships are not transferable to other members of your organisation. Only the registered TTIH member has access to their desk.
  2. We expect members to keep the kitchen area clean. Please do your dishes (and those of any of your guests) by either putting them in the dishwasher or handwashing them and putting them away. The friendly staff at TTIH (and your fellow members) will get really, really grumpy if you leave your dirty dishes lying around.
  3. It is your responsibility to keep your workspace tidy.
  4. Only TTIH staff are allowed to move furniture. If you need something moved, please see a TTIH staff member.
  1. We encourage you to bring lunch and use the fridge, but please label and date the food you put in the refrigerator if not being consumed that same day. It is a community fridge, and there needs to be room for everyone’s lunches - you can’t stock the fridge for the month (ie. no cases of soft drink etc.) The TTIH Staff reserve the right to throw anything in the refrigerator away, at any time, and refrigerator cleanout happens weekly (see fridge for time and day). If items are not dated and labelled they will most likely be thrown out
  2. TTIH supply coffee, tea, sugar and milk - please let us know if you use the last of anything.
  3. Access to meeting rooms is one of the greatest perks of a TTIH membership. Here’s what you need to know in regards to meeting rooms:

- If you want to use a meeting room, you must reserve it via your member portal. Please, no meeting room ‘squatting’.

- Member discounts on room rate hire are for residents ONLY. They are not transferable to others.

- Meeting rooms are for meetings with customers, teammates and clients only. If you want to hold an event, please talk to the friendly TTIH staff to discuss scheduling, guest policy, insurance requirements and fees.

- It is your responsibility to clean up the meeting room after you use it. If you re-arrange the furniture in a meeting room, we expect that you will return it to the original setup when you’re finished.

  1. Dedicated Desk members and each member within Private Offices receive 100 black and white prints per month. Additional prints will be billed to members at $0.05 per copy for black and white and $0.20 per copy for colour prints. Hot Desk users will be billed at these rates for all printing.

  1. Please make phone calls at your desk, at the entrance, in designated phone booths or in the meeting spaces. Speaker phones are never allowed at TTIH, except when in a conference room or within your private office with the door closed.

  1. Phone booths. Please ensure reasonable use only, to allow others access to these facilities. We’ll speak to you with guidance should this become an issue.
  2. TTIH is a 24/7 facility for permanent desk and private office members. However, if we are holding an evening event at TTIH (to help with the bills and keep your coworking so affordable!) we ask that hotdesk members vacate hotdesks at 5.30pm on these days. If you need to stay later you may be able to use another desk that’s available – just ask us on the day.

TTIH spaces are staffed at minimum between 9.00am – 5.30pm Monday – Friday. You don’t have to go home, but you can’t live here!

  1. We offer flexible month to month membership agreements. However, if you are a Dedicated Desk user and you plan to terminate your TTIH membership, we do require that you give 30 days notice (in writing) on the 15th or 30th of the month. For private office use, the notice required is 3 months.

17. TTIH is a smoke-free facility. Please smoke outside of the building.

 18. For a variety of obvious reasons we must reserve the right to ask any member or guest to leave TTIH premises, at any time, should we consider any behaviour unacceptable to the community.

Finally, please understand that our job is to manage a fantastic, inspiring community. We are here to

provide you with a place and the tools to do your best work! If you have any questions, ideas or suggestions. need help connecting with someone you don’t know or simply want to chat, that is what we are here for.

With best regards

 The Travel Industry Hub
